Proxy Guide Part 4

Paid Advertising

Generating traffic is the single most important thing to do with proxies apart from having a good reliable host. Traffic will eventually become what makes you that all important money so be sure to try your hardest. Just like any other website, building traffic is hard, though the demand for working proxies are always pretty high especially during school and work time so this make it a little easier for us if we are able to get our proxies out to those who need them. The prime time to start up proxies are obviously during the school periods as this provides you with a fantastic opportunity to have traffic flying into your sites.

If you have some spare cash or really want to get those hits up into the K’s I suggest going for a little bit of paid advertising. My first suggestion is to try out Adwords which is basically paying to advertise your site on Google which of course is well know to bring in a large amount of traffic. Google Adwords is Google’s advertising platform offering both cost-per-click and cost-per-impression pricing for advertisements served on Google.com and partner sites. It does require a credit card and some funds to start off with but the click through rates are often pretty impressive driving a lot of traffic towards your site.

I would also suggest buying paid traffic. Over at digital point forums it is possible to get large amounts of traffic driven to your site for cheap prices. The great thing about this is that the traffic your are paying for is targeted. There are forums members who own large proxy subscriber list and groups which will be getting your proxy 100’s of uniques per day when your proxy is sent out. This service is often cheap and can run between 1$ - 50$ depending on the amount of potential visitors it is being sent out. I have personally used several services on the forum sometimes driving in over 5000 unique visitors in just under 5 days.

Another suggestion is to buy and exchange links which is also available to do at digital point forums. This is way of getting links back to your site from other proxy sites perhaps driving some of their traffic towards yours. Just make sure you do play a fair game and provide their link on your site too.

On a final note, it is important to way out the costs and benefits. Make sure your not paying out more than what your making, obviously this may be the case during the first few days or weeks when starting up but once you get everything running you should be making more than what you have to pay out. It is all about value and how you fell about the money your spending. If you feel its going to profit you, go ahead but make sure you don’t dive into the first deal you like the look of. Make sure to look around and even ask around. There will always be competition when looking for a customer and let them fight for you.

In tomorrow posts i will be writing about free methods of advertising. This is where we are able to tap into huge amounts of traffic for nothing. If you enjoyed this post or found it useful, leave a comment with your own opinions or methods that you can share with others. Thank you for reading.
